But then you have to think about getting back to work....and most of us have never had to think about how to get back to work after illness or injury, and honestly, lots of people get really anxious about this - what, when, how??
Return to Work Mentoring - the first 3 months
Once out of the initial crisis stage and considering how to return to work or business it is important to have a plan and strategies to ensure your health needs remain a priority as you start to resume work tasks. There are many effective techniques and tools for this stage to support you as you navigate the challenges of starting working again, whilst still needing health care, recovery and rehabilitation. This services is like putting the stabilisers on your bike - you are ready but need a plan and a little extra help. You will have a personal return to work and short term health and work management plan.
Return to Work Mentoring – First 3 Months Programme
Initial 3-month planning and support programme
3 to 6 private video or phone calls (1 or 2 x 60 minutes per month with the individual business owner or leader returning to work)
Co-creation and completion of a written Personal Return to Work plan, reviewed and monitored at each call (advisory Fitness for Work notes if required)
Co-creation and completion of a written PIT-STOP plan for personal health and life management during the first 3 months of illness or injury
Direct access to Heather via email and WhatsApp between appointments for real-time questions and advice (within agreed hours)
Bonus access to the Online Resilient Business Roadmap 30-day programme
Payment Options*
Liaison with or specific reports for an employer, medical team, or case manager incur additional fees, as this service is intended for the individual
Return to Work Mentoring - additional 3 month options
Additional 3 month blocks of return to work mentoring can be added on, following the first 3 month crisis management initial return to work programme. This allows a review and extension of the return to work plans, extension of the support and, critically, ensuring that you are able to commit to the plan, flex it as required, and sustain your return to work at the same time as still looking after your health. Evidence around return to work rehabilitation shows that people who had support, monitoring and follow up were more like to succeed with their plan. Once you are back into work to a level you are comfortable with, the programme can end, or you can move into the Strategy mentoring phase (see below).
