This in an in-person assessment that is a combination of a clinical functional testing using some clinical examination, outcome measures and functional tests (based on Functional capacity evaluation approaches) and workplace assessment. Ideally it is conducted at the workplace, but with access to a private room for the clinical examination and functional testing components. It can also be conducted at Heather's local clinical facility in Wirksworth, Derbyshire

For individuals, we can agree whether a report is needed based on your purposes for requesting this type of assessment.

For referrers a report can be generated that can advise on current physical fitness for work for an identified job role, broad rehabilitation recommendations for the individual to improve their fitness for work and guidelines for workplace adjustments and return to work planning.  (Please note this is not a formal Functional Capacity Evaluation).

In either case, it should be noted that it may be necessary to have some Return to Work mentoring before and / or after this assessment in order to provide context for the assessment, and then support and monitor implementation of recommendations and a return to work plan.
